Hi, I’m Kari!

I've always been drawn to the beauty of the natural world and the stories that grow from it. Whether wandering through forests, traveling to new places, or getting lost in a good fantasy novel, I'm constantly inspired by the feeling that nature holds a quiet kind of magic.

My journey into weddings began after moving to Sonoma County to study herbalism. While there, I began working for a wedding planning company and quickly fell in love with the artistry behind creating a celebration. It wasn't just the flowers that captivated me; it was the atmosphere. The way florals, candlelight, thoughtful details, music, and the surrounding landscape could come together to create a space that felt both beautiful and deeply transformative.

When I returned to my hometown of Santa Barbara, I founded Alchemy Floral Studio to bring that same sense of beauty and intention to intimate weddings and elopements. Today, I design wedding florals while also serving as Assistant Venue Manager at the Unitarian Society of Santa Barbara, where I continue to help couples create memorable celebrations from both the floral and venue sides of the experience.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me planning my next adventure, spending time outdoors, reading fantasy novels, enjoying the company of loved ones, or finding small ways to make everyday life feel a little more magical.
